Draw Interest to Your Entrance

If one thing is for sure, my creations are not possible without the inspiration behind them. Yet with so many outlets for inspiration, my biggest challenge as a designer is navigating through the many possibilities and arriving at a new vision. In this transient industry, with fleeting trends and ever-changing styles, the key to my designs is simplicity. While I'm always tempted by new trends, funky fabrics and crazy colors, it's hard to surpass the original "pop of color" that a framed piece of artwork can achieve. Draw Interest to Your Entrance

As a designer, I never overlook an opportunity to create. With that being said, you could imagine why I adore the Holidays. This Christmas, my Hubby and I will be taking our travels yet again to the English Countryside, which I'm certain will make for an experience nothing short of enchanted. Being with my daughter, Ashleigh, her husband Oliver, and my too-cute-for-words grandson, Morgan, will be absolutely priceless, but no Holiday is truly complete without setting the proper ambiance. You didn't think I would spare the details just because I'll be overseas, did you? As it turns out, the gracious owner of the Stables, where I'll be staying in West Meon, has already offered to set up our ...

Draw Interest to Your Entrance

Before      ----->      After Every now and then it comes time for a re-design. No matter how much you once loved a particular look, the styles are ever changing. Though smaller rooms are often overlooked, it can be simple and affordable to make a big impact in a small space. Take, for example, one of my favorite spaces, the foyer. I recently transformed a dated foyer into a fresh and inviting entryway, and now I'm here to share my design choices with you! I began by working around this timeless French chandelier as a focal point for the space, keeping consistent with the overall style of the house. From there, I decided to go grey in a very ...
