Even the designer needs to freshen up her space every now and then, or should I say, especially the designer. With new trends unfolding in the design industry daily, there's never a shortage of inspiration... and what's the use in fighting temptation? My advice is to listen to your heart when it tells you it's time for a re-design. Just a couple weeks ago I decided that my workspace needed a rehaul, and since then I have not looked back (aside from this blog post)! Now i'm inviting YOU behind the scenes of my work station rejuvenation.

My previous space, while bright, beautiful and airy, lacked functionality and began to feel dated. I wanted to create a space where my staff would feel creative and relaxed, while also being conducive to the swatches and fabrics that we tear through each day #DesignerProblems

With that, I immediately began the real-life Pinning process; sorting through pictures and magazines, weaving through wallcoverings and fabrics, slowly but surely creating a vision through my inspiration board.

This week was the week I've been waiting for! After much intense decision making, the work went underway. Pictured above is the space right before the changes began. My trusted painter, Jack, applied a taupe-like grey to the ceiling and walls called "Ice Formations," which instantly changed my life. This, however, is only the beginning. Next I'll have my silk wallpaper installed on a small accent wall. For the carpet, I'll be selecting a sisal, organic grass weave, to provide comfort and tone down the accent wall. My custom built ins are scheduled for delivery next week, along with some amazing new desks. Subscribe to the Loft to be notified about my next post, the final reveal!!

Hang Tight 'till Next Time!
